There was an accident in front of 23395 Zero Avenue, just east of 232nd
Street on Thursday January 6 at 6:30 am. A westbound red car pulled out to
pass "several" cars and didn't pull back into westbound lane. A witness
described it as one of the "stupidest things he'd ever seen a driver do".
An eastbound car came along at the same time, but was able to pull totally
into the ditch, so that the red westbound car destroyed the drivers's side
of the eastbound car, and also destroyed the driver's corner of the
westbound car. If the driver of the eastbound car had not pulled totally
into the ditch, the cars would have hit head on. |

Eastbound Grey Volvo - Note driver's
side. Car is completely in the ditch. |

|
Westbound Jetta. Witness stated
that Jetta driver pulled out to pass several cars and stayed in the
eastbound lane, striking the eastbound Volvo. Evasive action by
eastbound Volvo driver prevented head on collision. |
|
Charges of unsafe passing and
driving too fast for road conditions were laid against the driver of the
1989 Volkswagen Jetta, after it hit the oncoming car on Zero Avenue.
